It seems like the French marque will keep its word.
The Bugatti presented the La Voiture Noire in March 2019. However, the French automaker did not show the cabin. This was because the car was fake and it was merely a showcase car to show off the most expensive car ever made. Bugatti stated that it would take two and a quarter years to finish the model and deliver it.
Bugatti seems to be keeping its word as a production version has been spotted by JCT Car Photography via Instagram.
These photos were taken near the Molsheim factory of the automaker on April 21st. The supercar was seen on a public road driving, probably to test before it was delivered to its wealthy owner.
The Bugatti La Voiture noire is a modern version of Jean Bugatti’s Type 57 SC Atlantic, which was lost in World War II. The car is priced at EUR11 million, or $12.45M at current exchange rate. However, Bugatti president Stephan Winkelmann stated that the car sold for EUR16.5M ($18.68M). Taxes included.
What is the La Voiture Noire’s uniqueness? It is made from hand-crafted carbon fiber just like the Bugatti Divo and has the same quad-turbo W16 8.-liter engine with 1,500 horsepower (1,180 pound feet) as the Chiron Sport.
The interior of La Voiture Noire is still unknown. We are betting it will be quite different from other Bugattis, given its price and reputation. This example that was spotted in the wild suggests that we will soon know more.
