An all-new Bronco is also on the horizon.

Ford’s Bronco has been resurrected and is expected to be the most popular new model this year. The off-roader has been shown in leaked photos and looks very promising. The new Bronco will be available very soon to replace the 1966 model year’s original, which was almost given an entirely different name but still very familiar.

A new report outlines the findings. This is the story of how it happened.Ford There were many ideas for the original SUV, which was originally codenamed the Bronco. The Mustang was to be the new model, and the marketing department considered a variety of names. Ted Ryan, Ford’s archivist, told the online publication that Ford had been toying with the idea calling the vehicle the Ford Wrangler.

The Jeep off-roader that was the predecessor to the Wrangler was called the CJ back then. It wasn’t until 1987 when the series was rebranded as Wrangler. Ford’s product planner Don Frey decided that the project would be continued with the original Bronco name, which was more closely associated to the Mustang.
