Overhauled Ariel Atom Has 1:1 Power Ratio With 700 HP On Tap

The Quantum GP700 hypercar is not your average one.

The lightweight Ariel Atom is impressive right out of the factory. But you have probably never heard about the Quantum GP700, which produces 700 horsepower (521 kilowatts). The GP700, which has 200 hp (149 kW), can sprint to 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 2.6 seconds. It is also the first and only coachbuilt hypercar made by Quantum Performance Vehicles of Australia. This video shows the car in action.

The Quantum GP700 was designed and built in Australia by Jeff David. It is powered by a 2.7-liter four cylinder engine with two superchargers. This produces the 700 hp and 482 pound feet (653 Newton-meters), respectively. The vehicle weighs in at 1,500 pounds (700 kg) and is driven by a six-speed sequential Holinger gearbox. This gives the car a power-to-weight ratio that is close to the Koenigsegg Agera One.

The top speed of the Quantum is 174 mph (280 kmh). However, thanks to its massive wings, it can corner up to 2.5Gs at 112 MPH, with more than 2 Gs decelerative force when braking. This car, which was introduced for the first time in 2015 by Quantum Performance Vehicles, is the only Australian product.

The company stated that “Buying a Quantum will be the first step on a journey to owning an truly unique driving experience.” Each GP700 is custom-designed by our engineering and design team to fit the owner’s driving style and level. This allows them to adjust and fine-tune their Quantum throughout their ownership.

The GP700 is available in all major markets, including the U.S. for a price of less than $700,000. It comes with all features. According to reports, the company is working on a hardtop model.
