Pininfarina Designs Hydrogen Racing Truck To Participate In The 2022 Dakar Rally

We cannot wait to see it in action.

Next year, the 2022 Dakar Rally will be different. Dakar Rally organizers plan to make the event more environmentally friendly by 2030. They encourage participants to use lower-emission powertrains for their entries. Gaussin is a French Hydrogen truck startup that will bring their H2 Hydrogen race truck to the event. The team from Paris Saint-Germain F.C. took a look at the truck to see what it is made of. The team at Paris Saint-Germain F.C. got behind the wheel of this new Dakar racer.

We have the rare opportunity to watch companies try new ideas as the world moves towards alternative fuel sources. Gaussin believes hydrogen-electric trucks will be the future. They plan to launch a new class 8 truck lineup very soon. They turned to motorsports to show just how strong and durable their hydrogen-electric drivetrains and skateboard packaging are.

Motorsports have been an arena to show off the fastest and most durable cars since the inception of motorized vehicles. The rules are the same today: if a truck is able to survive the Dakar Rally across Saudi Arabia, then it should be able to work on public roads paver at legal speeds.

Pininfarina, the legendary designers of some of the most stunning designs of modern times, designed the exterior of the Gaussin H2. The Gaussin H2 may not have the same beautiful bodies as the Italian sports cars Pininfarina is famous for, but this truck is powerful and has the ability to do so.

We are looking forward to watching the GaussinH2 compete in the 2022 Dakar Rally. We also look forward for the bright future of rally, where new powertrains and engines will be tested.
