Pininfarina’s Karma Coupe Concept Shows a Sleek Shape

Pininfarina's Karma Coupe Concept Shows a Sleek Shape

It looks beautiful.

Karma is pulling out all the stops this year at the Shanghai Auto Show. The company has already revealed details about the updated Revero with a BMW gas engine, more battery power, and now it is teasing its Pininfarina-styled design for the third time. Although it doesn’t yet have a name, the sleek concept seems appealing so far.

We have the latest Karma preview, which is our best to date. Although the side profile is similar to the Revero’s, it eliminates the rear doors and reduces its footprint in comparison to the four-door. The image can be brightened (below) to reveal more details, such as a silver surround for the windows and directional wheels. However, most of the concept remains hidden behind the shadows.

The teaser image of the new Karma showed its face quite clearly. The LED headlights and wide-set humours have a lot to do with the Lamborghini Centenario. The concept’s rear was shown in the second teaser, with an LED lightbar and a centrally placed Karma logo. The wildly designed concept is likely to be a big hit based on what we have seen.

“Karma is united in spirit and Pininfarina by our shared commitment to stunning designs, and we are excited for the reaction we anticipate the result of our partnership,” stated Dr. Lance Zhou, CEO Karma.

The Pininfarina-designed Karma concept, the updated Karma Revero, and a third, yet-to-be-officially-announced concept will all make their debut at the Shanghai Auto Show later this month. Rumours suggest that the third vehicle could be a crossover concept. This would mark a new luxury marque. We will have to wait and watch.

The Shanghai Auto Show will be open in less than one week starting April 16, 2019.
