Unfortunately, this is not a factory color.
The Wuling Fighting, also known in English as the Zhengtu is a compact pickup that was recently launched in China. Motor1.com can provide information about the model’s introduction but we cannot go to China to drive it. This Wheelsboy video gives a glimpse of the truck behind the wheel.
We must first address the pickup’s color. This shade of Pepto Bismol pink is not available from the factory. Wuling gifted this truck to two social media influencers from China. They wrapped it in this wild color for their wedding.
This truck also has two names. The front license plate, as seen in the press photos (above), proclaims that the truck goes by the moniker Fighting. The badge at the rear of the tailgate displays Zhengtu, a Chinese word. Wheelsboy says that Chinese people have adopted the exclamation, “Fighting”, as a way to communicate their belief that “You can do it!”
The vehicle is called Fighting because it’s tough and powerful. According to the model name, the pickup is prepared for a difficult journey.
The Fighting is powered by a 1.5-liter four cylinder that produces 98 horsepower (73 Kilowatts) as well as 103 pound-feet (1140 Newton-meters). The power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.
Although the Fighting measures in at 201 inches (5.105 millimeters), its bed measures 78.74 inches (2,200 millimeters). This number is less than one inch shorter than the standard bed length of a Chevrolet Silverado.
Wheelsboy reveals that although the material quality is poor, it seems durable and would benefit vehicles like this. An infotainment system is available with Bluetooth.
The 98-hp engine isn’t very fast on the road. And loading the bed would only make it slower. Rear suspension bounces on bumps. The truck is otherwise very easy to drive.
