There are actually 50 shades of grey.
You’ll find a lot of discussion about Cactus Gray on the forums and online communities for the Ford Bronco as well as the Bronco Sport. This lighter shade of grayis available on both SUVs and has a color-shifting aura. You’ll notice a little bit or none of the blue depending on how much light hits it. It’s getting noticed by buyers and is now available on the Ford Ranger.
Cactus Gray was a Bronco exclusive until it was made available online by Ford’s configurator for 2021 Ranger. We can find many grays in Ford’s U.S. lineup, including the Fighter Jet Gray which is exclusive to the new Mustang Mak 1. Cactus Gray is only available for Broncos and Bronco Sport, but it does not appear for Rangers. We wanted to make sure that Ford was contacted to inquire about any other uses for the color. If we have new information, we will update you.
The Ranger can be purchased on all variations of the truck. It is most, as it has some odd conflicts according to Ford’s online configurator. It can be had on all three trims XL, XLT and Lariat, but it is only available for base-model XL trucks with the upgraded 101A package. Ford seems to think that chrome and Cactus Gray don’t work well together. Add the Chrome Appearance package to the XL, and gray will be removed. You’ll have the same problem when choosing chrome running boards if you go up to the higher trims.
Although we didn’t try every trim or cab style, we do recommend that you be aware that not all options work together. We are confident that Cactus Gray lovers will find a pickup arrangement that is comfortable and makes them smile.
