Porsche 911 GT3 Drag Races GT3 RS In New Vs ‘Old’ Duel

This is, we must say, one of the most impressive-sounding drag races that we have ever heard.

The launch of the 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 was a big success. The GT3 replaces the 911 GT3 RS from the 991.2 generation.

However, the new 911 GT3 is not necessarily faster than the GT3 RS. The 911 GT3 RS is almost identical to the GT3 RS on paper.

The 4.0-liter flat six engine powers both cars. It is connected to the rear wheels via a seven speed PDK dual-clutch auto gearbox. Although the ‘old’ GT3 RS has 513 horsepower (382 kilowatts), and 347 poundfeet (472 Newton-meters), of torque, it is still more powerful. The new GT3 only produces 503 horsepower (375 kW), and has the same pull.

The new 911 GT3 weighs slightly more than the GT3 RS. However, their difference in weight is only 11 pounds (5 kg).

However, the GT3 is slower at 0-62 MPH (0-100 Km/h). The 911 GT3 RS can do it in 3.2 seconds. Only 0.2 seconds slower is the GT3.

All the numbers here suggest that there is only one way to resolve the dispute between them – a drag racing. carwow is the only YouTube channel that does straight-line races more often than any other.
