Porsche 911 GT3 RS Spied Looking Mean At The Ring

Porsche does not do a great job hiding new body parts.

Here’s a new look at the Porsche 911 GT3 RS during its test at Nuburgring Nordschleife. Although there is still some covering of the body, it doesn’t conceal the aggressive nature of the machine.

The RS has massive openings in the hood, starting at the front. These are more prominent than the slits that the GT3’s nose has. Black tape is also placed around the brake pedal’s corners. This indicates the existence of brake cooling pipes.

Engineers add large vents to the front fenders. They are larger than those on the previous-gen RS.

The rear fenders have more black tape. This location suggests that the company is trying hide inlets there, similar to the ones on the 911 Turbo.

Two vertical strips run along the sides of the rear roof have been added. These are likely to improve the vehicle’s aerodynamics by channeling air towards it.

The GT3 RS’s rear deck features a massive wing. A spy video from earlier shows that the piece can be adjusted to maximize its effectiveness. The engine is cooled by the airflow through the decklid.

A large diffuser is located under the tail. The center is dominated by two circular exhaust pipes.

Through the window, you can see a large roll cage. The Recaro racing seat is heavily bolstered by the driver.

GT3 RS will use a 4.0-liter flat six engine. The previous-gen RS produces 520 horsepower (383 kilowatts), and the new has a slight power boost. According to the mill , it revs at 9,500 rpm.

The new GT3 RS is expected to be available in the second half of 2021, or in the first quarter of 2022. Deliveries should begin in 2022.
