Porsche 911 Turbo S Races Ferrari 488 Pista In AWD Vs RWD Battle

The Porsche is heavier than the Ferrari, but it produces more horsepower.

Ferrari, Porsche created their pedigrees to produce some of the best performance machines in the world, even though they took different approaches. The Daniel Abt YouTube channel has released a new video that shows the differences in how they play out on the drag strip. It features the 911 Turbo 992 against 488 Pista in a series drag races in this unique and unmatched pairing.

Ferrari is lighter and more powerful than the previous model, with 710 horsepower (529 Kilowatts) as well as 567 pound-feet (707 Newton-meters). The weight of the Ferrari is 3,053 lbs (1,385 kg), and the power goes to the rear wheels. It produces 641 horsepower (447 kW) from its flat-six engine and 590 lb/ft (800 Nm), but it is 3,770 lbs (1.710 kg). Although the all-wheel drive system powers the wheels, it has a disadvantage. However, this adds weight.

From a standing start, the first two races were held. Both races saw the Porsche’s all wheel-drive allowing it to take a lead that was so big that Ferrari couldn’t catch it. The Porsche won both races. It completed the quarter-mile race in 10.36 seconds, at 161.89 mph (260.53 km/h). It was completed by the Ferrari in 10.92 seconds, at 168.08mph (270.50). Although the Ferrari won the second race, it was close to the first.

The rolling start race was the only race that Ferrari won. The Porsche was defeated by the Ferrari’s twin-turbocharged V8. The Ferrari was able to use all its power on the pavement thanks to the elimination of traction, winning the last race between them. Although the Porsche was slower and less powerful, its all-wheel drive compensated. It’s not an all-purpose vehicle, and it doesn’t work in every situation. This is especially true against the powerful 488 Pista.
