Things look promising.
New spy photos give us a better look at the Taycan so far, as we continue to work on Porsche’s first-ever all electric production model. These photos were taken by TaycanForum, and they allow us finally to see the design for the taillights and headlights.
Although the prototype is still covered in light camouflage, it is now showing that the fascia has begun to shed some of its disguise. The headlights will be very similar to the ones seen in the movie. Mission E concept. We can see that there are some small changes to the layout, but overall the shape and size appear to be the same.
Porsche has used a strange logo to disguise the prototype wearing German registration plates. This is likely an attempt to fool the untrained eye into thinking it is a Mercedes. Although there is a lot of red tape around the taillights, we can still see some of the production clusters. Porsche has decided to remove the fake exhaust pipes from its rear bumper in favor of the latest prototype.
The production version of Taycan will make its debut in September with some markets expected to start before the end. Two electric motors will provide power with a combined output exceeding 600 horsepower (447kilowatts). A single charge should provide more than 310 miles (500 km) of driving range.
The German company hopes to produce no less that 20,000 Taycans in the first year of production. To meet high demand, all of the Taycans have been ordered and Porsche has increased its production plans. In 2020 , the Taycan will be joined by a Sports Turismo wagon model.
