Continue to celebrate the automotive lifestyle of the 1980s and 1990s.
Hagerty announced Radwood’s addition to its expanding event portfolio. Radwood is an event brand that celebrates automotive life in the 1980s and 1990s. It has been a popular meetup for car enthusiasts since 2017. These events are a celebration of automotive history that “captures the essence” of an era.
Radwood will be under Hagerty’s stewardship starting March 2022 in support of Hagerty’s mission to save driving and car culture.
Radwood will be exhibiting at The Amelia and Detroit Concours d’Elegance, as well as Greenwich Concours d’Elegance. As part of Hagerty’s new Cars & Community program, these will create onramps to new enthusiasts. Warren Madsen and Art Cervantes, two of the Radwood founders will join the Hagerty team.
McKeel Hagerty CEO, Hagerty said that “Gen X-ers, millennials, are drawn to cars and the culture of their childhood. They represent the majority of our new members.” “The nostalgia of the 1980s is still very much alive to me, from Members Only jackets to Z Cars and Firebirds with t-tops, as well as Z Cars and Firebirds that are t-topped. The RADwood showfield is a great place to travel back in time.
In 2017, Radwood was created in the San Francisco Bay region. One year we attended it with a vintage Mazda Eunos Cosmo. The next year, we were among the most enthralled at the nostalgic-filled Radwood event.
Radwood has been growing ever since thanks to its close circle of friends and the power social media. Radwood hosted 10 shows in 2019 at various locations across the US.
Radwood’s next event will be held at Circuit of the Americas, Austin, Texas, on April 23, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. CT.
