Although the Comet R is not a stunning design, its primary purpose is to be fast on all roads and not win any design awards. The engine is a Kawasaki ZZR1400-sourced unit that produces 200 bhp (149kW). It is sent to the rear wheels via the six-speed gearbox with a sequential shifter to the side.

The hardware allows the vehicle to reach 60 mph (96 km/h), weighing 475 kg (1.047 lbs), in just 3.5 seconds, before reaching speeds of more than 120 mph (193 km/h). The Comet R measures 2600mm in length, 1820mm in width, and 1350mm high.

The Rage Comet R comes standard with road legality. However, it can be easily converted to off-road riding in as little as 15 minutes by purchasing an optional kit. This includes off-road tires, longer shock absorber springs, and different alloy wheels.
