Ram Rebel TRX is a Raptor fighter with 575 HP.

This is a concept at the moment, but we would love to see it in production.

In 2016, it’s not impressive to claim that your vehicle can travel 100 miles an hour. Unless, of course, you are promising that 100 mph is possible off-road. This is the main claim of Ram Rebel TRX, an extremely powerful truck with extreme performance that appears ready to take on the Ford F-150 Raptor.

The TRX’s base is a regular Ram 1550 Rebel with everything turned to 12. The new vented hood provides extra cooling air to a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine of 575 horsepower (yes, it is a Hellcat engine). The exhausts are integrated with the side rocks rails and measure five inches in length. The eight-speed transmission is designed for off-roading and the rear axle has an electronically locked Dynatrac Pro 60 differential. Front axles were modified to allow for a new suspension and wider track.

Custom suspension control arms provide 13 inches more suspension travel than the regular Ram Rebel. They also have adjustable coil-over shocks that are dampened by external reservoirs. Ram hasn’t altered any of the multilink suspension mountings, but managed to increase wheel travel from 9.25 inches to 13. inch, thanks to 2.5-inch thick bypass springs and performance shocks. Baer six-piston brake calipers grab the 15-inch brake discs in front and the 14-inch discs in rear.

The Ram Rebel TRX concept has special tires that are 37 inches off-road and wrapped around beadlock wheels. It comes with two spare tires and two spare wheels. AAA memberships are unnecessary.

The majority of the truck’s visual improvements are functional. For example, the new grille provides more engine breathing capacity; the composite flared front fenders are required to accommodate the Ram Heavy Duty’s six-inch track width increase; additional LED lighting improves night vision; the Ram Heavy Duty’s taller hood was necessary to cover the Ram Heavy Duty’s supercharger; and a steel front skid plate protects the truck when it is on trails. Both rows of seats have six-point harnesses that keep them in place when they jump and hop off the track.

The interior also features a Viper steering wheel, new red accents and nylon “Release” straps in place of traditional door handles.

Will you be able to see the Rebel TRX at your local dealer? Although it’s too early to tell, Ram promises that the Rebel TRX will be available at your local dealership.
