Ram TRX Envy? Try the New Hennessey Venom 775 Ford F-150

Are you able to guess what 775 is?

Ford truck lovers are experiencing a rough time right now. We are not talking about shortages and reliability issues on some models. There are few segments that engage in trash talk as much as the pickup truck community. The Ram TX dominates the scene both on-road and off-road. Team Ford is still without anything. However, team Hennessey has it. That might be enough for now.

Hennessey Performance’s latest beast is here. This is the Venom 775 F-150. If you don’t know what it is, you will find 775 under the hood. Hennessey begins with a F-150 Crew Cab that has a 5.0-liter V8. Then, he adds a massive supercharger. The tune is adjusted to adjust fuel, air and exhaust systems. 775 horsepower (578 Kilowatts) and 685 pound-feet (929 Newton meters) of torque are the results. This is a lot more power than what you will find in a stock TRX. So stick it in your tailpipes Ram enthusiasts.

Hennessey showcases the Venom’s advantages with drag racing video at the end of this article. Surprised as it may sound, the truck with more horsepower and less weight wins in a roll-race. The video does not show trucks racing from a halt. This is probably because the TRX with its full-time four wheel-drive system would win. It doesn’t matter because nobody race from a stop.

The Venom 775 doesn’t just boost a stock TRX’s power. Hennessey also gives the 4×4 F150 a six inch lift. The truck’s custom 20-inch wheels and 35-inch offroad tires add a bit of bite to the road. However, with a stock suspension, it is unlikely that you will want to drive it over sand dunes. The look is completed by the Hennessey badge and beefy rear and front bumpers.

The Venom 775 F-150’s pricing is high but not as outrageous as one might think. Hennessey estimates that the average price will be between $90,000.000 and $110,000 depending on what add-ons are available. The F-150 is included in the price, making it very comparable to the TRX. Hennessey also offers a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty. There will only be 100 of these trucks, so don’t wait for the Raptor to arrive. This could be your ticket to instant pickup truck bragging rights.
