Because quad outlets can be converted into dual pipes, the exhaust layout looks like a placeholder.
In just one week , we went from knowing very little about the next-gen Ford Mustang, to actually seeing it three more times. It was captured on public roads in the latest photos. A zoomed image gives a glimpse into the interior.
The Mustang we saw on the road has the same license plate as the one we saw, and the camouflage is also the same. These signs indicate that spy shots were taken of the same car’s development.
Ford’s camouflage is a large part of the Mustang’s body. However, you can still see the vehicle’s proportions. The current model’s front looks longer than the previous model. Also, the proportions make it seem lower. The camo at the back conceals the shape with fake panels. However, the rest of design suggests that the rear glass will flow.
Our spy team noticed something unusual about the back. The Mustang has four exhaust outlets, two on each side. These are used to test the dual-pipe setup.
The cabin is covered in black fabric so the zoomed image doesn’t really show it. The steering wheel is from a Mustang Bullitt. However, this is probably just the team picking something out of the parts bin rather than the actual car.
The Mustang’s sound in video seems to indicate that a V8 engine is still underneath. There are many rumors that a hybrid version would be available, which would power the front wheels using an electric motor. This would make the Mustang the first all-wheel drive Mustang.
The new Mustang will be available for the model year 2024. A public debut could take place as early as 2022. We think a public unveiling will take place in 2023, however. You can expect to see more spy photos before the premiere.
