Renault has revealed pricing details for its all new Espace, which will be sold at home in France.
The all-new Espace will go on sale in spring after making its debut at Paris Motor Show 2014 and starting at EUR34,200 for the Life Energy dCi130 version with a manual transmission. The range-topping Initiale Paris Energy EDC6 is priced at EUR46,300.
Renault has updated the design of the model to make it more contemporary. The base model comes standard with full LED headlights and 18-inch alloy wheels. There is also a Lumiere panoramic windscreen, parking sensors, parking sensors, one touch function for second- or third-row seats, as well as an R-LINK2 infotainment program with an 8.7-inch display.
The Zen trim level is available starting at EUR37,700. It includes Renault’s MultiSense system, which has four modes: comfort, sport, neutral, and eco. There’s also a fifth mode, called perso, that can be customized. Renault claims that each setting creates and coordinates “specific driving emotions” through a modified engine response and EDC’s calibration. This affects the degree of steering wheel turning, engine sound, suspension setup and ambient lighting colors.
Intens, starting at EUR40,800, includes an electric tailgate and head-up display as well as adaptive cruise control, Easy Park Assist, and dark brown Riviera leather upholstery.
The top-of-the-line Initiale Paris trim starts at EUR44,800 and features larger 19-inch wheels, 12-speaker Bose surround sound system, 4Control chassis, active dampening and four-wheel steering. There are also a few Nappa leather upholstery options and 10-way adjustable heated front chairs with massage function.
There are three engine options: a dCi130 turbodiesel with 130HP & 325 Nm, a beefier version of the dCi 160 with 160HP & 360 Nm, and a TCe200 gasoline motor that produces 200 HP & 265 Nm. Renault offers a variety of engine options, including a 6-speed EDC, 6-speed EDC, and a 7speed EDC dual clutch auto ‘box.
