The Space Nomad features a pop-up roof and two beds. It also has a full kitchen.
Renault will bring a pair campers with strange names to the Dusseldorf Motor Show. You can see the Renault Trafic Space nomad and the Hippie Caviar showcar.
You can choose from two lengths of the Space Nomad and either four- or five-person seating options. The pop-off roof covers both versions and allows for a bed measuring 47.24 inches by 77.2 inches (120 cm by 200 cm). The rear bench can be converted into a bed measuring 48.82 inches by 74.2 inches (124 cm by 188 cm).
The kitchenette has a sink and a two-burner stove. A refrigerator measuring 1.73 cubic feet (49 liters) is available. You can mount a table inside the camper or move it outside.
A retractable awning offers shade during the day. You can even use the outdoor shower to wash your hair before you go to bed.
You can choose from engines with 110 horsepower (82 kilowatts), to 170 HP (127 kW) for your purchase. Models with 150 horsepower (112 kW) or 170 horsepower (170 hp) are available with an automated gearbox. Lesser versions can only be purchased with a manual. The campers have LED headlamps as standard. They also include active emergency brake, lane departure warning and driver monitoring system.
In early 2022, the SpaceNomad will be joining Renault’s range. It will be available in France, Switzerland, Germany and Austria.
Renault’s Hippie Caviar Hotel concept is a Trafic-based camper that offers all the comforts of a 5-star hotel. It is made of luxurious materials and has some interesting design ideas.
The hippie Caviar Hotel’s signature piece is the bed that slides out from the rear hatch. This allows for open-air relaxation. You can also use draperies to provide privacy when the bed is outside of the vehicle. When it’s not time to sleep, the bed can be converted into a bench-seat.
A rooftop terrace is also available, which includes a coffee table as well as two removable backrests.
Exterior of the Hippie Caviar Hotel has a front and back in Almond Flakes green, and a rear in Anodised Silver Grey. The dashboard has a leather band. Other materials include exotic woods, linen, wool, as well as plant-based foams.
Renault envisions using drones for delivery of meals to campers at the Hippie Caviar Hotel to provide a five-star hotel experience. Renault also has dreams of sending a container with a toilet, shower and charging point to the locations.
