This is before dealer markups.
The 2021 Ford Bronco costs more than the Bronco Sport, even if you live under a rock. It is larger and more capable off-road than its Escape-based sibling, which reflects the higher price.
However, the Bronco Sport seems to be more affordable than the Bronco Sport when it comes time to purchase both vehicles. This is despite the fact that they are priced differently – at least when purchased through leasing. CarsDirect discovered this through Ford’s online payment estimater.
CarsDirect compared Bronco Sport and Bronco Sport base versions, each priced at $34,695 or $28,315, with destination charges and a 10500 mile annual allowance set by Ford.
Renting a Ford Bronco 2021 might be cheaper than the Bronco Sport
Ford’s online payment calculator for the Bronco base shows a $314 monthly payment over 36 months, with $3,784 due upon signing. The monthly lease cost is $419.
The Bronco Sport base has a $360 monthly lease payment for 36 months and $3,192 at sign-up. The monthly cost of the smaller Bronco is $449, $30 less than that of the full-fledged SUV.
These numbers may seem unbelievable at times, but CarsDirect found that the larger Bronco has a significant advantage when it comes to residual value. This gives it an advantage when leasing.
Although it’s obvious that the Bronco is more affordable than the Bronco Sports, you should consider dealer markups as well as waiting times. However, it is easier to compare lease rates if the comparison is done at the dealer level.
