This will work for the automaker.
In Japan, Best Car suggested that the next Nissan Skyline might be available in both a four-door coupe or an SUV. We want to remind everyone that this is still a rumor. So, sprinkle some skepticism here.
The publication suggests that Nissan may offer the Skyline nameplate with the aforementioned body styles to continue to be competitive. The Infiniti HTML55 was revealed last year and can be used to show you what a Skyline SUV might look like. The QX55, a coupe SUV version of QX50 is available.
The Skyline SUV rumored to be coming soon will not be the first time Nissan has introduced a modified version of its long-running model. The Skyline Crossover was launched by Nissan in 2009 as the JDM version the Infiniti EX37. This was the predecessor to the QX50. In the 13th generation Skyline, the high-riding model was no longer available.
The Nissan Z car is the most important model of the automaker. The Skyline was born as a Prince in 1957, and made a Nissan in 1966. It has been a popular model for decades, standing proudly alongside other JDM models like the Toyota Crown, , and the Nissan Z car in China.
We all know that the 13th-generation Skyline is getting older. Inaugurated in 2013, the Skyline was redesigned in 2019 to reflect the iconic Nissan GT-R. Rumours circulated earlier this year that it is about to end its life.
However, Asako Hoshino, the executive vice president of the automaker, quickly put an end to these rumors by saying that Nissan will not give up on Skyline.
Nissan will introduce another Skyline crossover to maintain its nameplate. We will wait to see, but we won’t be surprised if it happens.
