Even the helmets match the body, it comes with green caps.
If buyers choose the limited-run DBR1 specification, the Aston Martin V12 Speedster can blend retro and modern elements. This look will be a tribute to the 1959 24 Hours of Le Manswinner, with Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori behind the wheel.
The V12 Speedster is covered by the DBR1 specification in minty Aston Martin Racing Green paint and Clubsport White roundels. The grille is finished in Satin Silver. The car is equipped with 21-inch center-lock wheels in satin black and a machined face.
Conker saddle leather, Viridian Green textile and Caithness leather are used in the interior. There are also gloss-finish carbon fiber touches in the cabin and satin silver brushed aluminiu switchgear.
Aston Martin Racing Green passenger and driver helmets are included with the DBR1 specification. This allows buyers to match the car’s body while driving. A 5.2-liter twin turbo V12 engine produces 690 horsepower or 700 metric horses and 555 pound-feet (753 Newton meters) of torque. The engine runs through an 8-speed automatic gearbox to the rear wheels, where there is a limited slip differential for maintaining traction.
According to the brand, the V12 Speedster is capable of traveling at 62 miles an hour (100 km per hour) in just 3.4 seconds. The V12 Speedster can reach a top speed of 198 miles an hour (319 km per hour), which is quite impressive considering there is no windshield or roof.
Aston Martin continues to take orders for V12 Speedsters. The sports car is limited to 88 and has a price starting at $950,000. The automaker does not specify whether the DBR1 specification will affect the final price. Mid-2021 will see the first deliveries of this limited-run machine.
