Russian Bentley Continental GT Ultratank now has doors

This is the solution to one problem.

Although the Rezvani is a luxurious tank, it still runs on standard rubber tires. Russians take the term ‘tank’ very seriously. They modified a Bentley Continental GT to make a premium tank with real tracks. It sounds amazing, just like any Continental GT.

However, our previous report on this massive machine revealed that the designers of the world’s most luxurious tanks encountered a problem. There are many, but one is the lack of doors This problem is now solved.

AcademeG has uploaded a new video showing the Continental GT Ultratank receiving a pair of functioning doors. The guys had to cut the sheet of metal to fit the tracks. This was not an easy task, though, because the doors were more than just metal sheets. They also contain a sandwich that includes electronics and sound deadening materials.

The Russian guys were able display the Ultratank alongside other notable cars after it was modified. It attracted the attention of unsuspecting passers-by. It is rare to see a tank with actual tracks at a car show.

We mentioned earlier that the tank lacks doors is only one of its many problems. Another problem is the tension in the treads. This causes them to slide when they make a sharp turn. This is a problem that can be difficult to ignore, since it takes a lot of effort to return the treads to their original position.

Another problem is the absence of brake pedals. This is necessary to achieve the goal of 62 miles an hour (100 km per hour).

You can see the Ultratank with doors working in action in the video at the top of the page. To see the actual process of adding doors, you can begin at the eight-minute mark.
