What is the in-car gadget everyone wants?

Many commuters would love to cut down on the trip to the coffee shop each day by having a coffee maker in their car.

Two fifths of British drivers admit to drinking coffee while driving. If you’re one of these people, this is your lucky day.

SEAT will offer a Handpresso coffee maker in the U.K. for PS185 ($241) and it will fit perfectly between the two cup holders in all its models. The car’s 12v power socket powers the device, which dispenses 50ml (1.7 oz.) of hot, fresh espresso in just three minutes.

According to the Spanish company, the device can save more than PS1,800 ($2,348) per year in coffee shop fees. The cost of the in-car device for 12 months is estimated at PS405 ($528). Drivers won’t have to leave the car in order to use the device for their morning pick me up.

It also has environmental benefits. Instead of adding to the 2.5 billion disposable cups thrown away each year in the U.K., the package comes with two glasses. The package also includes 15 espresso pods (although you can use pods from other brands), as well as a bag that holds napkins, spoons and condiments.

The Handpresso machine by SEAT is available at SEAT’s dealers and comes with a 12-month warranty.
