Second Rolls-Royce Boat Tail to be Confirmed for 2022 Villa d’Este

In the first half this year, we will see the second multi-million-dollar creation bespoke.

Rolls-Royce hosted an return to form event last year. The Boat Tail was a custom creation hand-built by the Rolls-Royce Coachbuilding division. This is the most expensive car ever built. It was commissioned by an unnamed wealthy customer and cost $28 million. The British marque announced that the second example will be available. Only three of them will ever be produced.

Rolls-Royce claims that the second Boat Tail will be made public at the 2022 Villa d’Este. It is expected to take place on the banks of Lake Como, Italy, between May 20-22 and 2022.

The second Boat Tail is not yet known, but we expect it to be quite different. The Boat Tail is custom-made, so its interior and bodywork are created to exact client specifications.

The second Boat Tail, despite being custom-made should maintain its 19-foot length and wrap-around windshield. The extended rear end and wood veneers on “the foredeck” will be evident in the second version.

The steering wheel and seats of the first Boat Tail are covered in a two-tone, blue leather. The dashboard also has wood veneers that match the one at the back. We expect a similar, if not better execution for the second version.

The powertrain details have not been announced but it is likely that it uses the same twin-turbo 6.7L V12 engine as the rest. The Cullinan or Phantom models produce 563 horsepower (422 kilowatts), while the Black Badge models can generate 600 hp (447kW).
