This winter, on sale
Suzuki will soon introduce its second vehicle to the European market, which is being supplied by Toyota in the collaborative-business agreement. The Swace is a rebadged version the Toyota Corolla wagon.
The new family hauler looks 99 percent the same as the Corolla for Europe. Only minor differences can be seen at the front, where the fascia has been modified to have a thinner grille and a reshaped bumper. The rest of the vehicle is basically unchanged, which is definitely good news.
The Swace will come in seven exterior colors: White Pearl, Crystal Shine and Precious Silver. When all the seats are in place, the wagon can hold 21 cubic feet (596 Liters) of cargo. The remote folding lever can be used to easily fold down the second row seats, allowing you to make the cargo area completely flat.
The Swace is a direct rebadgement of the Toyota Corolla’s powertrain. The Swace has a 1.8-liter gasoline engine underneath, accompanied by an electric motor that drives the vehicle, depending on the driving conditions.
It is not very efficient in terms of performance. The estate can sprint from a standstill at 62 miles per an hour (0-100 km per hour) in just 11.1 seconds. However, this is still a good acceleration for a car that returns less that 100 grams CO2 per mile.
The new Swace will be available in Europe starting this winter. More details and prices are expected to be announced closer the date.
