The crossover’s styling is more refined and features significant tech upgrades.
The refreshed 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse comes with a base price starting at $23,395 (before the $1195 destination fee). The 2020 model (there wasn’t a 2021 version) was $22,995; this is $400 more than the updated crossover.
The refreshed Eclipse Cross has a new nose. The grille has LED running lights that follow the edge of it. This makes it more integrated. The lower corners are where the main headlights and fog light are located.
The hatchback has been completely redesigned at the rear. It no longer features a light that cuts through the middle. Redesigned taillights are also required by the change.
The inside has some major tech improvements. The LE, SE and SEL trims get a new 8-inch infotainment screen. The screen is now two inches closer to the driver thanks to a redesigned center stack. The system supports Android Auto 4 and Apple CarPlay 3. Navigation is available for the SE and SEL models.
On the LE, SE and SEL grades, heated seats are standard. The SEL comes with a heated steering wheel, and an optional light gray leather upholstery. The SEL with Touring Package includes heated rear seats.
All models come with a safety suite that includes forward collision mitigation, pedestrian detection, and lane departure warning. Automatic high beams are available on the LE, SE and SEL models. Blind spot warning is available on the SE and SEL with lane change assistance and rear cross traffic alert.

The 2022 Eclispe Cross receives a modified suspension. The rear shock shafts are bigger and the tuning is different. For increased rigidity, the company adds a cross member on to the rear suspension.
