The All-Electric SylvanSport Electric Vehicle Will Provide 400 Miles of Range

These electric motorhomes are not new. London Electric Vehicle Company has introduced its first camper van, which combines an electric motor and a gas-powered range extender. A Knaus Tabbert electronic RV concept that uses a rotary engine range extender is also available. Both electric motorhomes have limited range so range extenders are recommended.

Zeus Electric Chassis, Inc., a collaboration with SylvanSport, hopes to take electric motorhomes to the next level by creating an all-electric RV.

This joint electric RV project is a great match between SylvanSport’s reputation as a manufacturer of camping accessories and adventure trailers, and Zeus’s expertise in building a fully configurable 3-8 class electric truck chassis.

Although the motorhome concept has yet to be named, it aims to offer an all-electric RV with a unique codename “Leading the Charge.”

Gross vehicle weight is 14,000 pounds. Initial dimensions can be as long as 25 feet, wide as 12 feet and three inches and tall as 10 feet.

While the battery’s capacity was not mentioned, a full charge can provide 400 miles (644 km) of range. This is a lot. If you ever need to charge your device, it should include a Level 2 DC fast charger.

SylvanSport and Zeus plan to unveil their concepts in this year, and 2022 respectively. We’re certain some numbers will change by then.
