Trucks reign supreme.
Automakers may have hoped the problems of 2020 would be behind them. But then, the chip shortage decimated new car production. Despite the fact that many automakers had to deal with a stringent supply chain throughout the year, it was not all bad news for manufacturers.
Here are the 2021 best-selling SUVs, trucks, cars and trucks.
20. Subacute ru Outback:
154.623 Units (Up to 0.9 Percent).
The Subaru Outback remained the same throughout 2019, increasing sales by 0.9 per cent. Subaru is a well-respected crossover option.
19. Subaru Forester:
154 723 Units (Down 11.6%)
Although the Subaru Forester was more popular than its stablemate in 2020, its sales declined in 2021. Sales of the second crossover on this list fell 12.6 percent in 2020 from 176.996 to be exact.
18.Chevrolet Equinox:
165.323 Units (Down 39%.0%)
The Chevy Equinox saw strong sales in 2020, but sales dropped sharply in 2021. The sales fell by 39% from 270,994 in 2020, to 165,323 for 2021, a drop of 39%.
17. Mazda CX-5:
168.383 Units (Up 15.0%)
Mazda’s CX-5 crossover was the best-selling car in 2020. It competes in a competitive segment. The CX-5 saw a 15 percent increase in sales over 2020.
16. Honda Accord:
202.676 Units (Up 1.6%)
Sedans may not be selling as well as they used too, but there are dedicated customers who will buy cars and Honda was able to increase Accord sales by 1.6 per cent.
15. Jeep Wrangler:
204610 Units (Up 2.0 Percent).
Popular SUVs are still in demand, even those that are not enthusiast vehicles like the Wrangler. The Ford Bronco should not be seen as a threat to their popularity. The venerable offroader saw its sales rise by 2 percent in 2021.
14. Ford Explorer:
219.871 Units (Down 2.8%)
Even though it saw sales declines, the Ford Explorer is still the best-selling vehicle. The SUV sales dropped by 2.8 percent in 2020.
13 GMC Sierra:
248,924 Units (Down 1.6%)
The popularity of trucks is still high, even though GMC Sierra saw sales decline. This luxuriously equipped truck sold almost 250,000 units, but sales were down by 1.6 percent over the entire year.
12. Toyota Corolla:
248,993 Units (Up to 5.0 Percent).
The Toyota Corolla remains a popular best-seller and that won’t change in 2021. The affordable model actually saw its sales rise by 5 percent in the last ear.
11 Toyota Tacoma:
252,520 Units (Up to 5.7 Percent).
The most loved Toyota truck saw its sales rise in 2021 by 5.7 percent compared to 2020. It outsold the Tundra in terms of sales.
10. Honda Civic:
264,787 units (up 1.0 percent)
Another car that saw sales rise was the Honda Civic. The Honda Civic’s sales were almost unchanged in 2021. They saw a 1.0 percent increase for the year.
9. Toyota Highlander:
264,128 units (up 24.4 percent).
The sales of the Toyota Highlander, a recently redesigned vehicle, saw a 24.4 percent increase in sales last year. This increase enabled the Toyota Explorer to surpass it in terms of sales.
8. Jeep Grand Cherokee
26 Percent Increase in Units: 264,444
Jeep’s Grand Cherokees sold a lot and helped it climb into the top 10 in 2021. The SUV saw record sales, surpassing the 2020 209 786 mark.
7 Nissan Rogue:
285 602 Units (Up 25.3 Percent)
Another crossover saw increased sales in 2021 was the Nissan Rogue. This model saw a major redesign for the 2021 model years. To keep it at the top 10, the new model received many improvements inside and outside.
6. Toyota Camry:
313,795 Units (up 6.6%)
Toyota Camry sales rose 6.6 percent in 2021, surpassing the 300,000. It is the only car that ranks in the top 10, after the Honda Civic.
5. Honda CR-V:
361 271 Units (Up 8.3%)
Although customers may have given up on cars, they still have the Honda CR-V, which is the fourth-best-selling vehicle of the year. The CR-V Crossover remains popular because it combines practicality with affordability. Despite everything, sales rose 8.3 percent.
4. Toyota RAV4:
407,739 Units (Down 5.3%)
The Toyota RAV4 is America’s best-selling non-truck vehicle. The 2021 sales were down 5.3 percent compared to the previous year.
3. Chevrolet Silverado:
529,765 Units (Down 10%)
Chevy saw a huge drop in sales in 2021. This was when Toyota took over as America’s top-selling brand. Silverado sales fell 10.8 percent in 2020.
2.Ram Trucks:
569 388 Units (Up to 1.0 Percent).
In 2021, Ram trucks outsold Chevrolet Silverado. This resulted in sales increasing by only 1%. It was enough to place Chevy in the rearview.
1.Ford F-Series:
726,004 (Down 7.8 Percent)
Although Ford’s sales numbers earlier in the year indicated that it might need to compete to be America’s best-selling car, the company managed to maintain its top spot throughout the year thanks to strong sales. Ford sales of the F-Series declined 7.8 percent, just like other automakers.
