The Genesis GV90 Flagship Electric SUV Conceptualized In Unofficial Drawings

Rumored Korean luxury EVs will be above the GV80.

The full-size Genesis GV90 electric SUV is in development – if we believe the latest rumor. Although there was not much information on the model, it isn’t surprising that this report has been reported before. In 2020 , the nameplate was revealed. It was designed to compete with the BMW X7 luxury SUV model as Genesis’ flagship model.

Our friends at Kolesa created renderings to help us visualize the GV90’s design. These are the unofficial renderings of the GV90, as seen from the front and the back.

The rendering is based on the styling of the Genesis G90, which was not yet seen. There are chrome accents and two-tier headlights that extend beyond front fenders.

The G90’s huge Genesis crest is glued onto the fake SUV’s face, and the connecting taillights of the full-size sedan decorate the tailgate at its rear. We can’t deny the fact that the overall design and shape of the GV80 is a reflection of its design.

If the rumors were true, the closest previews of Genesis GV90 were the Kia EV9 Concept or the Hyundai Seven Concept. These concepts, which represent the future zero-emission SUV from Hyundai Group, were unveiled in November.

The Genesis GV90 may be using the E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform) in order to reduce R&D costs. It also underpins Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Genesis’ first dedicated EV the GV60.

The Genesis GV90 will be revealed by 2023, with a market launch occurring after a year. If we believe that the luxury automaker actually is working on the model, then that would be a good thing.
