The Mk4 Jetta looks decent, but this clever video seals it.
Although we don’t often find creative ads for cars, this one stands out. Even though the seller came up with a simple hashtag for social media marketing, a quick search of the top social networks shows #goodlittlecar not really catching on. This is okay because the video above has received 43,825 views within four days. A quick warning: There is an F bomb near the beginning of this clip. However, it’s not enough to warrant a PG-13 rating these days. You’ve been warned.
What’s the fuss about? The 2003 Volkswagen Jetta LLS is the vehicle our unnamed salesman is looking to purchase. It’s quite snazzy, all things considered. The video reveals that the vehicle has VeeDub’s 2.0-liter engine, mated with a five-speed manual transmission that has covered 218,000 km. This VW has been on the road a few times, with an estimated 135,000 miles. It also had red wavy lines showing it has heated seats. A random person revealed that it has summer and winter tires. The interior is finished in tan leather. Except for the gray armrest at the driver’s side, which we were told was there to give the Jetta some personality. We love character.
What other information do you need about this car? It can make right turns as well as left turns. To read the fine print, you can freeze the frame. You’ll also see that the interior smells of Crayola crayons. The car can move forwards and backwards, but not upside-down. We are certain that there are many Mustang drivers who are ready to share hold my be with you.
This video is funny, clever, and explains everything you need to know about the Jetta, except for how much it costs, and how to get in touch with its owner. This bit of information is located in the video description. A link takes us to kijiji.ca, where we learn that the VW is close to Calgary and is selling for $3,200 Canadian.
Is it worth the price of a 16-year old Jetta with 174,000 kilometers? It all depends on how much you enjoy the scent of Crayola crayons.
