The Bat and The Cat teaser also examines the relationship between Batman, Catwoman.
Warner Brothers shared a teaser trailer recently for The Batman. One doesn’t just drop a Batman video without showing Batmobile. The trailer is more focused on characters than the previews. But don’t worry car enthusiasts. There’s still some delicious Batmobile action and a bit of Corvettelove.
The teaser begins with the Batmobile. We mean the very beginning. First, the Batmobile’s backside is shown lit by the afterburner. Then comes a side view showing the car in its darkest state. It’s a great way to get viewers’ attention, and then we are treated to action on the streets. Many of the footage is familiar footage – we see it all before: weaving through traffic, jumping through flames and crashing into things, etc. It serves to remind us that the Batman reboot seems more gritty than previous films.
Unfortunately, the trailer’s first 30 seconds are devoted to the Batmobile action. The video’s beginning contains almost all the vehicular content, with a brief glimpse of Bruce Wayne opening the door to a black C2 Chevrolet Corvette. This Batmobile version of the iconic character seems to have a thing for 1960s American iron.
The trailer offers a glimpse into the characters and relationships of Batman. Robert Pattinson, Zoe Kravitz, Catwoman, and Andy Serkis, will be the Dark Knights. It’s been a long wait for the next evolution of Batman, but it will finally be in theaters March 4, 2022.
