The Mitsubishi Delica 4×4 Camper is a homebuilt Mitsubishi Delica. It’s compact, lightweight, and awesome.

It won’t cost you a fortune.

Thomas Heaton has a YouTube channel that is very popular with over half a million subscribers. His videos focus on landscape photography and he travels around the globe to capture “some of most breathtaking landscapes in the world.” We’d love to discuss this smart homebuilt project.

Heaton’s modifications are detailed in a new video that runs for 30 minutes. It also gives details about the cost and total build costs. If you like them, you will find links to some parts and components in the video description.

The van is a 2002 model imported from Japan. It has a 3.0-liter V6 gasoline motor that sends power to all four wheels. This van is a solid base for an adventure-style camper, and it cost Heaton PS114,556 or $15,745 at current exchange rates. However, the price also includes new tires and other upgrades to the van.

The exterior work started with roof rails to install a solar panel, cargo box and an awning. There’s also a diesel heater, lots of lighting, a portable refrigerator, and a custom-made bed with aluminum frames.

You can find more information in the video at the top. We’d like to tell you about the total cost of this project before we go. At the current exchange rate, that amount is PS18.630, or $25.605. It’s a great price for a custom-built camper with all the accessories that you need.
