Retro colors will also be back in some M models.

BMW Motorsport will be celebrating 50 years of success in racing and performance cars on May 24, Customers of M models and vehicles equipped with the M Sport package can choose retro emblems to commemorate the occasion. These retro emblems will feature the original blue, red and violet color scheme.

BMW will start accepting orders for vehicles bearing the old-school badge beginning in January 2022. These models will be produced in March 2022. The retro emblem is not available at the moment.

BMW Motorsport GmbH was founded in 1972. It began racing in 1973. The emblem had semicircles in violet, red, or blue. This was used to signify that blue represented BMW and red for racing. Violet was used to show the connection between these two concepts.

Since 1993, BMW Motorsport GmbH has been BMW M GmbH. The logo was also slightly altered to make the violet color more dark.

BMW will not be the only company to celebrate the founding of motorsport. Some M models will come in old-school colors such as Dakar Yellow and Fire Orange, Daytona Violets, Macao Blues, Imola Reds, Macao Blues, Frozen Marina Bay Blues, and Daytona Violets.

The launch of new M models is expected to take place in 2022. The M3 touring will be the first to offer a wagon as a performance vehicle. The estate will not be available in the US. The CSL version will give the M4 even better performance. The new M4 will be a smaller sports coupe than its predecessor. A first electrified M product will also be available soon.

BMW Motorsport will be exhibiting at many classic car events throughout 2022. These special models will be highlighted by BMW at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este and Goodwood Festival of Speed.
