Putin’s new toy, as seen in recent spy photos
Remember the Aurus Senat? Vladimir Putin chose the stately sedan to be the presidential car. It is luxurious and has a chiefly stance. The nose looks almost like a Rolls-Royce Ghost.
The Komendant, however, is Putin’s new toy. The Senat’s high-rider version was first seen resting on a trailer in northern Scandinavia, along with the Senat minivan . Next was a sighting in Northern Sweden, with a better shot of the fascia.
Our team of magicians created a rendering of Aurus Komendant SUV using spy photos. It looks exactly like the Cullinan but without the Spirit of Ecstacy.
This rendering shows only the Komendant’s front quarter angle. Let’s not worry about the rear end. These spy shots won’t help, as they don’t show the bumper and temporary clusters that will be changed in the production car.
The interior of the Aurus Komendant is not known at this point. It is safe to assume that the interior will be heavily inspired from the Senat sedan, which will make it luxurious and posh. It will be powered by a hybrid 4.4-liter V8 gasoline engine that generates 598 horsepower (446 Kilowatts) as well as 649 pound-feet (880 Newton meters) torque. The powertrain is coupled to a nine speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
According to Russian sources, the production of the Aurus Komendant will begin in 2022. International delivery is possible but don’t expect it to be too easy due to the limited production capacity of the company.
