The Secrets of the Hyundai Pony Revival Concept are Shown On Camera

South Korea’s first production vehicle is celebrated.

Hyundai has been on a roll with its electric program. The new Ioniq 5 is an attractive looking electric vehicle that has decent characteristics. The adorable Heritage Series Pony from Hyundai was also a surprise to everyone. It is a throwback model that Hyundai produced in its first year of production.

The concept is currently displayed at the Hyundai Motorstudio in Busan, Korea’s second largest and most seaside city. It has been meticulously detailed by the Woopa T channel on YouTube. The video at the top of the article does not have English subtitles. However, you can still learn a lot just by watching it.

The coolest part about this concept is the fact that it actually uses a first-gen Pony. It was disassembled and re-engineered with an electrical powertrain and other upgrades. Then it was assembled again. Hyundai did not reveal any details about the study, but it stated that the car has a digital touch transmission and cradle space to hold a mobile phone. It also boasts a voice-activated steering column. We don’t yet know what all these technologies actually mean.

The pair of exterior mirrors mounted on the fenders are a cool addition. They reportedly only require very few cameras. While the overall car shape is the same as the original, the LED taillights and headlights add a modern touch to it. Although we haven’t been able to see the inside of the boot, Hyundai claims that there is a “last-mile mobility device” made from stainless steel.

Hyundai does not plan to make the Pony reborn. It’s not difficult to find a model from the first production vehicle of Hyundai for sale. The video below might help you find one.
