Porsche.
An automaker that has been producing cars for 70 years is bound to have interesting stories, especially when it has a rich history like Porsche. This week’s Top 5 episode isn’t as car-focused than previous episodes of the YouTube video series. However, it’s still interesting.
The Top 5 begins with red and white stripes applied to the leather upholstery on a 1983 928 S. There is an embossed signature on the headrests. Even after over three decades of use, the burgundy color looks amazing and the car is in perfect condition.
We find a 911 Carrera 3.2 Coupe, 1989 model in Carrara White at number 4. The interior color is a corespondent to the exterior. It has pinstripes in maroon velvet seats that are also white.
Our favourite is number 3, where the retrolicious red and blue tartan upholstery on the 911 Turbo, nicknamed “Louise”, after Louise Piech (daughter of Ferdinand Porsche), looks retrolicious. This Turbo is the first Carrera-bodied Turbo to be built. Even the door panels are finished with tartan, while the flooring keeps the burgundy red theme. People who are keen on details will be able to see that the body side stripes featuring the “Porsche” lettering have graphics that mimic the tartan appearance of the cabin.
Number 2 is unique not only because of its seat design, but also because it is the Porsche’s oldest 911 car ever built – number 56. This 1964 901 “No. The company meticulously restored 57, which features a black-and-white theme for the houndstooth/Pepita seats.
Drumroll, please. It’s the 911 Super Carrera Targa (SC) Targa, a 1981 911 Super Carrera (SC), Targa with a Pasha design as a nod towards motorsport’s chequered flag. The seat is available in a navy blue color with black accents. The video sample you see on the video is an original Porsche sample back when the pattern was first created.
