Sixteen cylinders, almost 1,000 horsepower in a hatchback-sized car – how does it sound?
Yugo is a popular choice for petrolheads who grew up in the 1980s or have a family member who loved cars during that time. The Yugo was a popular car back then. Its reliability and poor design earned it a bad reputation. However, the United States sold over 140,000 Yugo hatchbacks between 1985 and 1992. The highest volume was in 1987, when almost 50,000 units were sold.
The Yugo in this story, however, isn’t the humble Yugo that you’ll find on the road. The widened body is not the only thing that’s interesting about this Yugo. Corvette This Yugo has wheels installed and hides two special power plants within its body.
As the headline says, the Yugo is powered by two Cadillac Eldorado HTML8 engines. One in the front, one in the trunk. Each engine has a displacement of 8.2 Liters. This allows it to produce 480 horsepower (358kilowatts). The Yugo’s total power output is close to 1,000 hp when all four wheels are used. What does this sound like for a tiny hatchback
A little caution is recommended. This build’s base motor is located at the rear. The car’s owner doesn’t recommend running both engines at the same time, as it has a single cooling system. For daily driving, you will have to use the rear V8 engine. That doesn’t sound too bad.
What do you think is the best thing about this build? You can get it on Facebook Marketplace at a price of $25,500 Although it’s quite a powerful Yugo, you’ll never see one like it again.
