Maximize your space.
Many car lovers dream of owning a large collection. However, it is not easy to store them all. Garages typically hold two to three cars. Any additional vehicles would need to be stored outside. Although it is possible to build a separate building, it can be expensive. Garage space can be used in other ways. One homeowner turned his garage with three cars into a seven-car garage.
Chris Hullinger, from Texas, owns the garage and it appears like a complicated puzzle piece at first. It’s actually a simpler setup. Two car lifts are located at each end of the garage, which doubles storage capacity. Each holds a pair Dodge Vipers. Below them is a Tesla Model X, and what appears to a new Toyota Rav4. This is more than half the garage’s total capacity.
A trio of Vipers are located between the two lifts. Hullinger needed to place two Vipers on vehicle dollies in order to make them fit. Hullinger was able to move them so that the last Dodge Viper could fit between them. Although it is quite compact, it can easily accommodate seven vehicles. It’s also remarkable that you can open the garage doors fully while the Vipers are riding on the vehicle lifts. Most garages don’t have enough ceiling space for this.
Hullinger’s clever solution to make a seven-car garage from his three-car parking space is admirable. However, it does not appear to be large enough to store all his cars. The garage photos don’t include a Chevy Bolt, but seven cars would free up space in the garage. Although it seems fun to have a car collection, you must also manage their storage. Hullinger seems to have found a way for him to have both his cake and his supper. It is possible that larger vehicles may not have been able to fit all.
