Say hello to the Jumpacan.
A wild automotive-themed fish out of water story is a great way to entertain. A Lamborghinioff-road isn’t so crazy. We should not forget that Lamborghini was originally a tractor business. The Urus is also available, although it’s not a machine that can conquer deserts. We turn to the Lamborghini Uracan for that task. You could, at least.
Technically, this video is a Lamborghini Huracan. It is equipped with scissor doors and a Lamborghini VIN. It won’t have an Italian V10 underneath the engine cover. In fact, you won’t even see the cover. If that sounds familiar, an LS V8 is connected with a Lamborghini transmission driving the rear wheels. B is for Build. This was a Lambo powered by an LS engine that was resurrected a burned Huracandestined to the scrap pile and made it a stunning display at the 2019 SEMA Show. This is probably obvious.
Yes, B is for Buildresurrected a Huracan. However, this theme is a little more apocalyptic. The YouTube builder received the Huracan chassis late in 2020 for free with a single mission: to build a wild desert racer that would compete in the 2021 Mint 400. This is an off-road race that has been held for decades near Las Vegas. No Lamborghini has ever participated in it.
This is likely to change. The video at the top shows the wild Huracan, officially known as the Jumpacan, attempting high-speed trials in the desert where the race will take place late this year. The Jumpacan looks great turning big, lazy donuts in sand. It also does well over smaller jumps. Although the jump was not as strong, it still managed to make it through. Parking lot speed bumps are often a challenge. There isn’t an aftermarket for offroad Huracan upgrades.
The 2021 Mint 400 is usually held in March. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was moved to December. This should give Jumpacan plenty of time to be operational and we are eager to see it fly high.
