You will find many surprises when you open the door.
Quokka is a tiny, cute marsupial found in Australia. This charming creature is also the name of a small camper van made from Japan. The exterior looks a lot like Daihatsu Hijet, but its interior is unique.
The Quokka’s sidedoor reveals wood flooring on the roof, floor and walls. Mishima Daihatsu is the builder. All panels are made from Japanese cedar wood Hinoki. The company incorporates many other features in the small space, but that’s not all.

Owners can use the flat floor at night as a bed. It measures 72.05 inches (1.830 millimeters), by 50.79 inches (1.230 millimeters), It is slightly smaller than a full-size mattress.
Standard equipment includes a 100-amp lithium battery to supply electricity to the Quokka’s rear section. A DC outlet is available as well as USB connections. A forced flue paraffin heater is included in the vehicle.
Mishima Daihatsu has many additional options and some amazing amenities. You can get a microwave, a 16-liter (16-cubic-foot) refrigerator and both integrated into the floor. You can also get extra insulation, a larger-capacity battery or a solar panel.
