Toyota Camry gets a sporty and stylish exterior update in Japan

Personalize your Camry

The Toyota Camry has a more striking and aggressive appearance than its predecessors. Toyota Japan offers buyers the opportunity to personalize the sedan with the GR and stylish Modelista sets.

The GR bodykit is very similar to that found on the Camry in the United States. The front fascia is the closest thing they have in common. TRD has smaller openings at the corners, while the GR is more aggressive. The lower edge of this design has an additional splitter.

The car’s lower flanks are decorated with angular side sills. A trunk tip has a rear lip spoiler. The area between the exhausts has been redesigned to include a revised rear bumper trim.

The GR parts include a set 19-inch wheels with a complex spoke pattern in black and a polished rim.

Modellista parts make the Camry appear more luxurious. The front fascia is composed of horizontal strips which emphasize the vehicle’s width, and vertical chrome sections that bracket each side. Shiny metal strips are also found on the sides sills, around the windows, and at the tail.

Modellista components include a set 19-inch wheels with an angular spoke design. A 17-inch version is also available with a swirling pattern.

The Camry was updated in the US by Toyota for the model year 2021. The sedan looks a bit sharper thanks to some minor aesthetic changes. The safety tech suite’s camera-radar elements were upgraded to provide better low-light functionality and longer range sensing. Camry Hybrid also gets an XSE trim.
