A hot hatch version of the Corolla is possible.
In the 1980s, the Toyota Corolla had a wide range of body styles, including sedans, wagons and coupes. Theottle envisioned how an 1980s AE86 coupe might look with the modified body of the current Corolla.
Theottle begins with the Corolla Hatchback, but cuts off the rear doors in order to make it a 3-door. A sloping roof is added to create an angled tail, which sits somewhere between a hatchback and a liftback.
This doesn’t look like the AE86 Corolla, or the AE85. However, it does have fixed headlights instead of pop-up lights. The design actually reminds a lot of the FX hot hatchback three-door.
He renders it in the same black-and-white color scheme as the Initial D. This huge franchise made the AE86 Corolla look like the ultimate drift car for capable hands.
Toyota could make this design easier to produce in the real world, as it could reuse many of the existing body panels and parts from its current Corolla.
Toyota may be building a Corolla GR Performance model to replace the Yaris GR. It is believed that the smaller model would be powered by the turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder, which produces 257 horsepower (192 Kilowatts). All-wheel drive would also be available. According to reports, the m odel could arrive in 2023.
The new GR 86 is a modern version of the rear-drive AE86 Corolla. It has a lot more power and features. The 2.4-liter flat four engine produces 228 horsepower (170 Kilowatts) as well as 184 pound-feet (252 Newton-meters). You can choose between a six-speed manual and a six speed automatic.
