It is claimed to be a world record by the company.
General Motors left it up to tuners how to get more power from the Chevy C8. It is difficult to modify the parameters of the car’s powertrain due to its various cybersecurity systems. However, we have seen it repeatedly. FuelTech posted a new video to its YouTube channel showing how its modified C8 produces a remarkable amount of power at its wheels: 1,350 (1.006 kilowatts).
FuelTech describes the car’s output as a “world record” and this may be true for the race-only version. According to FuelTech, the engine produces around 1,500 horsepower (1,118 kW) at crank. This extra power took some modification. FuelTech added a second fuel delivery method to the 6.2-liter LT2 LT2 V8. The turbochargers are two Garrett G35900 turbochargers. The new parallel-running ECU keeps everything running smoothly and avoids the C8’s locked down control units.
According to the tuner’s video description of the record, FuelTech installed a second FT600 controller system to control the gearbox. However, the company did not provide any details. Many modifications were made to bypass or circumvent the C8’s stock controls units, which place strict restrictions on what can be done after the car leaves its factory.
C8 Corvette Production began over a year ago with Chevrolet . is already preparing the Z06 for its October unveiling. It’s still difficult to get more from the car despite significant improvements by tuners. Because of the high cost, it’s difficult to find affordable consumer solutions. It’s not easy to modify the engine, fuel and transmission control systems. This limits the options for tunes and upgrades. We only need to wait for the Z06 debut . It could produce as high as 617 horsepower (460 kW), from its 5.5-liter engine.
