Tuner Says Goodbye to BMW M2 with 731-Horsepower Finale edition

This is the strongest M2 Competition that we have seen.

The BMW M2, rear-wheel-driven and powered by an inline-6 that produces a lot of power for its small size, is a true enthusiast’s delight. It’s at its last stretch. The 2Series coupe is due to be unveiled by the end the year. The hot full-fledged M will make its international debut sometime in 2022.

German tuner Lightweight wishes to make a statement and say goodbye to the top-tier 2er. The M2 Competition Finale edition. This Lightweight-tuned M2 competition packs a punch beyond the black-on–black theme. It is even more powerful than the larger M’s in this lineup.

The tuned engine of the M2 Competition Finale Edition produces 731 horsepower (545 Kilowatts) as well as 649 pound-feet (880 Newton meters) of torque. Although performance figures such as acceleration rate and top speed were not disclosed, it’s easy to see solid numbers considering the small car’s weight.

The HJS 2×200 Zeller downpipes are included in the Lightweight M2 Finale Edition. Eibach also developed a Pro Street multi-chassis for the LightweightM2 Competition Finale edition. The platform can be removed to adjust rebound or compression. A brake cooling kit and steel-braided lines are added to the BMW Performance braking system.

The additions are subtle design-wise. The M2 Competition carbon fibre parts and a set 19-inch forged aluminum wheels make the car lightweight. Four standard CS seats are used, and the steering wheel is covered in Alcantara with blue buttons. The anodized pedals and short-shifter lever of the CAE are also blue. The cabin is filled with carbon-fiber components.

Although Lightweight did not disclose the price of the M2 Competition Finale edition, a quick phone call to the German tuner will provide more details about this beastly build.
