New turbos, downpipes and exhausts are available. Software tweaks can be made to increase the power.
The BMW M5 CS can reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in 2.9 seconds right out of the factory. If this seems too slow, G-Power offers kits that increase the output to 888 horsepower (662 Kilowatts, or 900 metric horses) and 774 pound-feet (1.050 Newton-meters), straight from the factory.
The M5 CS produces 627 hp (468 kW), and 553 lbft (750 Nm), from a 4.4-liter twin turbo V8. G-Power can add 261 horsepower (195 kW) to the engine by installing parts such as new turbos and downpipes.
The company can also fit its Deeptone exhaust with outlets measuring 3.543 inches (90 mm) on the outside and 3.9337 inches (100 mm) on the inside. The buyer can choose between a raw carbon fiber and forged carbon finish.
G-Power does not mention an acceleration time following these updates. Instead of the stock limit at 190 mph (306 kmh), the top speed is electronically limited to 207 mph (333 kmph).
G-Power offers GP-700 and GP-740 as well as GP-780 and GP-820 for milder increases. Each number denotes the horsepower output in metric. Hurricane RR upgrade packs increase the output to 829 HP (618 kW, 840 metric horsepower) and 774 Lb-ft (1.050 Nm), by fitting parts such as forged components for pistons and connecting rods.
These photos show G-Power’s wheels on the vehicles. You can choose from forged pieces in sizes 20- or 21-inch. Both sizes are available in either 9- or 10.5 inch widths.
BMW will only build the M5 CS in 2022. The US price starts at $142,000, plus a $995 delivery charge. G-Power is a great option for those with extra cash. They can increase the sedan’s performance by contacting them.
