It’s also a hybrid.
Do you remember Tushek? With its tiny, 335-kilowatt (335-horsepower) Renovatio 500 coupe, the Slovenian supercar manufacturer emerged from nowhere in 2012. Seven years later, Tushek has returned with a product that is more than twice as powerful as the TS 900H Apex. Next month, it will make its debut at Salon Prive in U.K.
As its name suggests, the Tushek TS 900 produces more than 900 horses. The 4.2-liter rear mounted V8 and two electric motors combine to produce 950 horsepower (708 kW), and 1,032 poundfeet (1.400 Newton-meter) respectively. The TS 900 is a lightweight 3108 lb (1,410 kg) thanks to its chrome-moly spaceframe chassis, carbon fiber body and carbon fibre. It’s 700 lbs lighter than the hybrid Acura NSX (3.878 lb)
The TS 900 Hybrid can reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in a mere 2.5 seconds. Tushek claims that the hybrid hypercar can reach 236 mph. This is Bugatti territory. The TS 900 uses Pirelli Trofeo Series R tires (235/35 front, 305/30 back) and Brembo brakes to cope with the newfound speed. You can also enjoy all the speed without a roof thanks to its removable hardtop roof and supercar-esque scissor door.
Aljosa Tushek (Tushek founder, Slovenian racecar driver), notes that the Tushek team is thrilled to be back at Salon Prive. “Over the years, we have developed and constructed advanced technological options for our new model, TS 900H APEX,” Aljosa Tushek, founder of Tushek, focusing in particular on the electric drive train.
“These developments have now been incorporated into our latest model, and have been successfully tested on racetrack conditions over the last months. Salon Prive’s elite clients will be presented by our team.
The Salon Prive Concours in U.K. will open its doors this September 7. Tushek does not say when or how much the TS 900 will go on sale.
