Two new Dodge Vipers were sold in Q1 2021 along with a Dart

Chrysler shipped one 200-seat sedan, while Fiat delivered four 500s.

This week’s quarterly sales reports were released. You know what that means: scouting zombie cars that have remained despite having been discontinued. FCA Stellantis also has some undead cars in its sales chart after discovering that General Motors sold a staggering 462 Chevrolet Impala sedans as well as no less than 1,065 Sonic hatchbacks.

The Dodge Viper was the most popular of all the cars, with a total of two sales during the first quarter 2021. This is half the volume of last year’s V10 supercar, which generated four sales. In 2019, it had five and 2018, it had 19. The Viper still appears in sales charts is amazing considering that the last car was built at Conner Avenue Assembly Plant in August 2017.
Someone bought a Dart in its first three months, while staying with Dodge. The buyer may have taken advantage of a sweet deal considering that the compact sedan was built at Belvidere Assembly Plant in September 2016. Dodge sold seven Darts in 2020, compared to the 15 units that were shipped to customers in 2019.

The Chrysler 200 was similar to the Dodge Dart. One new buyer purchased the Chrysler 200 in the first quarter 2021. This is very puzzling considering that production ended December 2016, when the last Chrysler 200 was made at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant. In 2019, 48 of the 91 sedans delivered to customers were sold, while nine more were delivered last year.

But we are not finished yet. The Fiat 500 was phased out in 2020 in the United States. Four people purchased one in Q1 2021. Although the sales chart does not indicate whether they were the standard version, electric 500e or Abarth hot hatch, it is clear that the Italian city car was technically still available in the first three months.

Officially, the 500X crossover is still available. It has sold 265 units so far in 2021. The 500L minivan was sold in its last model year in America, the2020MY. It is listed in the Q1 2021 sales chart with 69 units.

Technically, the 124 Spider has also been declared dead as there is no 2021MY. However, Fiat is removing any remaining stock. In total, 477 Italian Miatas were shipped in January, February and March. This is 23 percent more than the previous year.

The Alfa Romeo 4C, although not yet discontinued, is still the most popular Stellantis model in North America. This excludes the zombie cars. In Q1 2021, 24 cars were delivered.
