A row lost means a lower purchase price.
Lexus is offering buyers the opportunity to sacrifice occupant capacity in order to increase cargo volume. The new 2018 HTML570 will feature five-person seating. This change increases interior hauling capacity by 15%. The price of the two-row model drops to $86,175 (after $1195 destination) compared with $92,370 for its predecessor.
The 2018 LX 570 two-row can hold 50.5 cubic feet cargo in the middle row, compared to 44.7 cubic feet for the previous variant. The new model, which can carry five passengers, also features a roof rack.
The LX 570 will come standard with Lexus equipment. There will not be any options for the exterior or interior colors. This large SUV includes driver assistance tech such as parking assist, blind spot monitor and rear cross traffic alert, along with the Lexus Safety System+ suite. The LX is easier to maneuver at low speeds with a surround-view camera system that gives you a better view of what’s happening around it.
Lexus claims that customers told Lexus they didn’t use the LX and suggested the idea of removing a row of seats. According to the owners, they preferred more cargo space than more people. Some owners even asked for more space to transport their dogs. People who transport large sporting equipment, such as bicycles, will find it easier to move.
The powertrain for the LX 570 two-row is identical to its three-row counterpart. The 5.7-liter V8 produces 383 horsepower (286 Kilowatts) as well as 403 pound-feet (546 Newton meters) of torque. A selectable low-range transmission is provided by an eight-speed auto gearbox. It then drives through a four-wheel drive system that has a Torsen center differential and a Torsen limited slip center differential. The owners can also tow up to 7,175 kg (3,175 lb). The LX 570 is still capable off-road thanks to systems such as Adaptive Variable Suspension, which adjusts the damping to suit the conditions.
