This is one of only 10 examples worldwide.
Ferrari was established in Japan over four years ago. The Ferrari J50 is the Italian marque’s special anniversary model. The 488 Spider is the basis of this model, but it has a more sleek body and a twin-turbo 3.9 liter V8.
Moreover, the Ferrari J50 is more rare than the regular 488s. Only 10 Ferrari J50s were produced for the Land of the Rising Sun.
One of the 10 units is now up for sale at the Tokyo Ferrari dealer as a used unit. It is expected that it will be a high-priced unit – Y=398,000,000 or $3.6 million at current exchange rates.
In mortal speak, the used unit is available in Nero Daytona or metallic black colors. The J50’s humble color (in contrast with the yellow unit imported to Spain) didn’t detract from its appeal. It still looks sleek and elegant despite the change.
The J50 is not just a re-bodied 488. The J50 also got an additional 20 horsepower (15kilowatts), and the force-inducted V8 now produces 690 HP (514 kW).
Although the J50 listed as a pre-owned is quite expensive, you still have the option of genuine maintenance until 2026. It is currently located in Minato City, Tokyo. The special edition Ferrari still comes with all the goodies. Our favorite feature is the new set of 20-inch forged rims.
The pre-loved unit also looks fairly new. It has only traveled 692 km (430 miles) in the four years it has been around. This unit, which is extremely rare, looks really mint based on the photos posted by the dealer.
Here’s your chance to get this limited-run J50 if you are in Japan now.
