The 500 Abarth, which is American-spec, will be equipped with 160 horsepower (119 kW/ 162 PS) as well as 170 lbft (230 Nm), from its 1.4-liter MultiAir turbocharged motor.
Fiat’s U.S-spec 2012 500 Abarth was unveiled at the Los Angeles motorshow. Fiat-Chrysler won’t reveal the output of the MultiAir turbocharged 1.4-liter MultiAir engine on the 500 Abarth-equipped in the U.S., but reports suggest that it will be tuned slightly from the European specification to 160 HP (119 kW/ 162 PS) as well as 170 lbft (230 Nm), which is slightly less than the euro-spec’s 140 PS (135 bhp/103 kW) and 206 Nm (252 lb-ft).
